How it Works

First Appointment

Your dentist will either use a digital scanner to scan your teeth or take a physical impression of your teeth, then they will design your new smile with your input, their expertise, and with a 3M specialist.

Once approved by your dentist, 3M will print a personalized 3D mold just for you and send it to your dentist.

• Place a customized 3D printed mold on your teeth based on your digital scans. 
• Fill the mold with 3M™ Filtek™ Supreme composite – the same material used for fillings – and bond it to your teeth. 
• Remove the mold, smooth and polish your teeth, and you’re done!  
• With our system, you can select 2, 4, or 8 teeth for restoration.

How long does the treatment take?

You can get a beautiful new smile in as little as two appointments! 
1st appointment: Your dentist takes a digital or physical impression of your smile. 
2nd appointment: Your dentist completes the composite treatment, and you leave with a new smile.

How do I maintain my teeth/care for them after the treatment?

Your beautiful smile may be new, but the way you care for it is the same—regular brushing and flossing. The great thing about composite restorations is they can be  repaired quickly and easily if damaged.

Are the composite materials used safe?

Board-certified toxicologists have carefully evaluated the safety of all 3M™ Oral Care products and have concluded they are safe for their intended uses.
